Real mpg for 6.2?
Good morning to all from Italy.
Ok, I know, I know...and I agree with you. Hummer H2 you buy is not thinking about the gasoline consumer but for all other grades. After I drived a H2 for 1 week, I decide it will be my future car. But in Italy the gasoline really costs much more than in the U.S.... I know the model 6.2 has improved fuel consumption compared to the "wasteful" 6.0, but how much? As in reality the model 6.2 consumes?
Thanks for your any replies and...God bless America, always.
Luigi

Welcome to the forum, Luigi. When a person pays what you pay for gas in Italy the mileage is ALWAYS a consideration. Wish I had a 6.2, but my '05 6.0 gets 12.2 around Vegas. People say the 6.2 is suppose to be a little better. And God bless Italy.

I have a 2008 H2 I've had for 10 months, it's got 8700 km on it right now.
the last fill ups have been,
151 km on 27 litres (15.88 IMP MPG, 17.8L/100km, 13.3 US MPG)
162 km on 28 litres (16.43 IMP MPG, 17.2L/100km, 13.7 US MPG)
These are in the city, but there is lots of freeway driving between 80-100km/h.
It is winter here the temp has been around -10C - +5 C, with a bit of idling for warm up when at work on my way home, about 2-3 minutes (it is parked in a warm garage when I leave, so not much warm up 1 way).
and the only road trip I've taken was when there was 1500km on the H2 but I went
315 km on 51 litres. (17.9 IMP MPG, 16.1 L/100km, 14.6 US MPG) Cruise set @ 110km/hour.
I would think on a highway trip, you would get 650-700km on a 121 litre tank if you wanted to run it right to the bottom.
I don't drive it very much so the gas milage isn't a big deal, but the fun factor is the best I've ever had in a SUV! I love the H2! The look, feel, saftey and ride, eveything about it is awesome! GET ONE!

But really do you live in Las Vegas? Las Vegas?? But Las Vegas really exists in the real life or only in the films?

Dear SD90, I think the answers like your are real a wealth for a community in a Forum.
Precisely, articulated, concrete...
Thanks, thanks and thanks again...

Yes, both 13.3 and 13.7 US MPG are a mix of city and freeway driving.
I figured out the IMP MPG with 4.54 L per gallon, and the US MPG with 3.78 L per gallon.
I also find that the Litres used feature on the info computer, is very accurate.
