Default Rapid turn signal

When using the turn signal to turn left I have a rapid turn signal. The turn signal lights and everything works fine but it just blinks(and sounds) 1.5times faster than the right turn signal. Turning right all works as it should though. Anyone has the same issue?

Thanks in advance.

When you say that the lights work fine are you describing the turn signal light in the dash or the actual turn signal bulbs on the left side?

Usually a rapid blinking turn signal indicates that one of the turn signal bulbs has burnt out.

I haven't got a chance to check the turn signal from outside so not quite sure yet but the arrow lamp on the dash board blinks twice faster than the right side one.
I also searched this forum(sorry.. I should have done the search first.) and saw a lot of similar answers like yours. Thanks!! I will go ahead and check the lamp from outside.

Just checked it out and found the driver side rear signal lamp was now working. Will bring it to dealer soon. Again, thank you very much for your tip.

What year truck do you have, has it been this way since you have owned it? Usually what you described happens when somebody put in the wrong turn signal bulb, front or rear, or one of them is toast.

about once weekly at night i find stores closed at the mall. i pull in straight and check the front, turn around and check the rear. this is twofold. i want to be sure ALL lights are ok, and to give the cops zero excuse to stop me.

i am a law and order guy but i also realize that today, cops are looking for safe, easy tickets, like me,an old guy who drinks no booze, and does not look dangerous or threatening.

2 yrs ago i was followed for over 2 miles thru stops and turns. finally as i pulled in to park, the lighst came on and i got a "driving too slow ticket",,,,which i REALLY beat in court.

find a big window,,a light checker

Is that a typo?? You said the driver side rear signal lamp was NOW working. Did you mean NOT working?? That one letter makes a huge difference in trying to diagnose the problem!

You do realize that a new bulb costs about $5 and you can change it yourself in about 10 minutes.

Be prepared to pay much more if you have the dealer do it.

It's been repaired by Hummer dealer @ Tustin, CA this morning.(free of charge) Super simple bulb swap fixed the issue. Mine is 2008 Hummer H3. It just started to blink fast from 2 days ago and back then it was completely normal.

Thanks in advance.

That's usually a signal that one of your bulbs are out, as you have found out now. There was no need to go to the dealer, which you already have.

Unless you have deep pockets or are inept, read the manual if you have one, learn about the vehicle and avoid getting flamed........
