Is it just me or does the h3 windshields get rock and sand dents and cracks in it very easily?

How do you mean? Driving down the road? If you follow Dump Trucks on the Road I would say yes, you would getcracks and errosion. It is at almost a 90 degree angle, but I would think it is no more than any other vehicle.

I've found there is no such thing as a glancing blow to a H3 windshield and that it
is best to get small chips and cracks repaired ASAP. All of my damage has happened
just driving down the highway...no trucks involved.

I'm to lazy to look at the moment, but there are a couple of threads on here dealing with this very subject.

Try a search.

You having some bad luck with yours Corey?

Yeah the H3's window design is perfect for catching any little stone or pebble that comes its way.

For what it's worth, you may want to try and get a bug deflector. It doesn't work miracles, but it does direct the wind away from the windshield a little bit. Haven't noticed "as many" stones or pebbles since I put it on.

No problems with the 3 windshield yet. I think it may have a little more angle to it than the 1s and 2s, which seem to collect every pebble on the road.

Yeah I drove home from new mexico for christmas. I took a two lane highway about half way there and there was snow and ice all the way there so there was sand poured on the roads. and I was meeting all kinds of semi trucks all day and getting hammered with pebbles I had 5 good rock divets that and a little crack when I got home I had the windshield guy come to my house and fill all of them. but when you look in the light it looks like my windshield was sandblasted he couldnt fix all of the little spots because they cant spread. He told me that Hummer windshields are angled more up and down like a bus. and a typical vehicle has more of an angle preventing the glass to crack as easily from rocks. I was happy it was fixed up until the day before I leftI was driving and I met a grain truck going in the opposite direction and he threw a huge chunk of ice and rock and it cracked my windshield the size of a half dollar and 3 or 4 other cracks around it and I had to drive like that for 15 hours and 927 miles. Im getting it replaced tuesday. I would think someone would make a better or tougher kind of glass that can withstand more than normal vehicles can since the hummer windshields are up more

I'm with Gunner, seems likea newwindshield every 10,000 miles. 3 and counting, and I've got several large chips now that the insurance company said they would cover. Glass breakage coverage from State Farm rocks!
