Default Question about H2 rear license plate frame

Hey, guys, I've seen a bunch of H2 rear license plate frames with a strip of chrome trim across the top but I can't find it anywhere. It may be that it's no longer available but I can even find a picture of it on a google search. The top of my frame, or mount, whatever you want to call it is cracked in several places and there is even a chunk of plastic broken off of it. The liftgate handle still works fine so I don't want to spend the $300 to replace the whole assembly. I would like to find that chrome piece to cover up the cracks. Long story short a tow chain broke and came back and hit the liftgate, came thru the rear glass and also hit up top and broke the center marker light. Does anyone know what chrome piece I'm talking about and where I might find one? I know I can get a complete chrome overlay that covers up the whole license plate mount and liftgate handle but I dont want that. It looks cheap to me and and too bling bling for me.

I just did a quick search on GM Parts Direct and only came up with the entire assembly. It doesn't look like you can just buy the chrome strip. I've been looking at HUMMER parts for a few years and have yet to find a source for parts like you're looking for--everything I find comes from stumbling into somebody selling extra pieces.
I'm afraid the HUMMER parts well is really drying up now and while parts won't be impossible to find, they'll be difficult.
Good luck with your search

So you know what chrome strip I'm talking about. Thing is when you look up the frame assembly on gm parts it doesn't even list one with chrome. I don't really even want chrome I just want something to cover the cracks on the top of my existing frame. I may just buy the whole cheap chrome overlay assembly off ebay and plasti-dip it black.
