Default Question

I recently bought a 2006 H3 and I am having some problems and was just wondering what everyone thoughts are.....First off, I have a traction control fail/tpms fail light that keeps coming on. It drives fine until this comes on. Now, if I turn the wheel too hard, everything with the steering gets real tight and feels like something is rubbing on the underside of the front end. I have been told that it is likely a hub assembly but I have also been told that it could be the cv shaft. Has anyone else had any problems like this and if so, what did you do to find out what for sure it is.

Yes it goes back to normal after it is parked for a little while. 4wd is not engaged when this happens.

Give this a try: neutral, shift between 4HI, 4HI Lock and 4LO Lock 3 or 4 times. You should do this twice a year if you don't often use them.

H3s are ALWAYS in 4wd, there is no 2wd option. It may be that your Transfer case is stuck in 4Hi Lock.

X2 on what Tainer said.
