Default Pushing out the wheels????

Hey all,
I am wondering if someone can help me with a question regarding negative offset on wider and taller wheel/tire combo.

Basically what I am wondering is if I increase my negative offset, will it effect turning radius/clearance (increase or decrease)?

My situation currently is I went to a 18x10 with a zero offset, and the tire is a 38x18x15.5

The setup does work well until I do a full lock turn, then I get some rubbing from the tires on the frame.

I was thinking that if I got say a wheel with a negative 6 or 12mm (roughly a 1/4 to 1/2 inch) would that give me more clearance and also help keep the tires from rubbing on full lock turns.
(Basically moving the back side of the wheel/tire out from where it sits under the car about 1/4 to 1/2 inch)....

Or would it actually cause it to hit more.

Thanks
