Guys, Turning in the 06 h3 lease and purchasing a 06 SUT with 46000. Looks as if it was well taken care of. Have the option to purchase the 100,000 mile gm bumper to bumper warranty for $1700. What do you all recommend. I have always done most of my own general repairs and see spending $1700 as hoping for something major to go wrong just to get my $$ back. I plan to have this truck 2-3 years tops. No off road, just a weekend driver. May put on 8-10,000 per year. 50%percent highway miles.

Do these trucks really have any issues with them that would justify me purchasing this protection. Are there any known driveline issues that seem to be common to look for? To be honest, I think the only thing I may use it on is the cosmetics as I notice a majority of the seats seem to get that "cracked" look in them.

My factory warranty was near end so I just purchased one, but I paid a lot more. I got the GM Major Guard, 75K/5 year w/ $100 deductable for my H2 for $2935. I compared prices first and found that to be a good price.
