Default Protecting the paint

I wanted to get something to protect the paint a little when offroad --- especially since this thing is black. I put the rocker guards on and apparently you cannot put mud flaps on with them (at least that's what I was told). Anyone have any enlightening oppinions on this?

Thanks,
Buddy

Default RE: Protecting the paint

best option would be to not take it off road if you don't want trail pinstripes. there are magnetic protectors that you can put on your doors and other steel panels, but they won't help your fenders. another option would be to use blue painter's tape, it will prevent most pinstriping, but will tear off if you hit some heavy branches. even with all that, you're still bound to get some pinstripes, but they add character, so nothing to really worry about.
