Default proper size winch

Adding a winch to my 08 H3 Adventure using the DeFelice winch mount bumper. The mount will accomodate a Warn M8000 or M9000 or a T-Max EW9000. Our 2002 H1 has a factory 12000 lbWarn and it has performed flawlessly (and at Kinzalow's we needed it!). Is 8000 lb enough or do we really need to spend the extra $$$ for the 9000? Warn or T-Max? Great specials at Real4WD through today on winches and would like to make the right decision. Also, wire or synthetic cable. Like the hawse fairlead look, but is synthetic worth the extra $$$? Thanks for your input

I would go with the 9000 Warn.

Nothing against T-Max but Warn is tried and true.

I don't see any need to go with the synthetic line either.

My cable has been fine for over a year.

When choosing a winch you want to pick a winch with at least 1.5 times more pull than vehicle weight. I have used a 6000 pound warn winch with a ****** block pulley that almost doubles your pulling capacity. It does make It half as slow though. Just my two cents.
