I am having a Master Cylinder replaced under warranty on my 2010 Alpha. Just got a call from the sevice advisor saying they could not re-program the ECU because the aftermarket remote starter would not let them access it. I have 2 questions that maybe some of you could help me with. Why does the ECU have to be reprogrammed after a Master Cylinder replacement and could the remote start cause access problems? They want to charge me $290.00 to uninstall the remote starter so they can reprogram. I suggested they remove power from the remote starter and try that. They went home for the day before they tried my suggestion. Any ideas?
