Just curious where does 3 quarts go if their are no leaks or bad seals?

 

I don't know. I was the 2nd owner of this vehicle. And I am starting to think maybe it was already low ??? I only checked the trans fluid level once briefly at cold in the past. I have had the truck for a while But have only put about 5500 miles on it as it only gets driven about once a week. sometimes twice.

 

Tomorrow, I will see how it acts when I first crank it and go.. The symptoms of the revving were happening at the very beginning. Although I continued to drive at different times today , after adding more and more trans fluid , the whole thing ran smoother and the shifting and such sounded and felt better. So we will see if it revs up and down in the morning when I first start driving it.

 

So I cranked it up and drove it. No crazy reving, perfect shifting this time. And when giving it gas to try and go to like 50 mph ..it was no longer reaching 4 rpm. but between 1.5 and 2 rpm. So that's all it was, was being low on fluid.

 

Again today. no reving and very smooth shifting. So that's all it was, 3 quarts low on transmission fluid.

 

Your a lucky man, you should go play the lottery.
