Default pre 05 Nav Radio Codes, Secret Menus

Ok,

I know we have all seen the lock pick products on the net, which are apparently great, but they are complicated to install. IMO. I have searched the web and found out that cadillacs have a secret menu on their nav system forall models 03 up to some 05s that allows unlocking of the nav input options while driving.I also found that in pre 05 models of the cadillacs and corvettes, if you hold the music note for several seconds it brings up a code and you can input 1791 to unlock DVD play while driving. This apparently works for some people, so I am curious if this works for the hummer nav unit. Here is what I found:

1. With the GPS already in map mode, select the ROUTE button.

2. At this point if you are in motion, only the “ROUTE PREFERENCES” option will be available. Now hold your finger in lower-right corner of the screen for about 8 seconds. There is a hidden button there.

3. You will hear a beep and be presented with a menu that has ten options. Select the RUN button, it will remain highlighted. The “RETURN” button is partially underneath the clock. It is very tricky, but if you slide your finger upward while pressing the screen, you can select the RETURN button. This may take some practice.Warning: Don’t mess around with any option unless you know what you’re doing. You have been warned!

4. At this point you should see all the navigation options while the car is in motion. Your passenger can now input an address or POI while you’re driving and keeping your eyes on the road ;- )

You don't need to be in motion to unlock the hidden options but you will have to repeat these steps each time you start the car.

Dislclaimer: I am not responsible for YOUR actions.

Unfortunately this has not worked yet for my 05, but I am still playing with it and will post results here.

No, mistake. Thanks I did not catch that. I was reading a post on navigation issues in this threadand posted in error. I can delete and repost in a more appropriate thread if necessary. Can I delete it, I gues it realy belongs in Audio Video/Interior Modifications.

No luck yet for me. Does not work in my 05.
It would be sweet if it did. I found another hack that shows you how to install a switch between the speed sensor wire and the nav to switch it of to enter stuff and then switch it back on to keep the accuracy up. Have not tried that one yet. I can find it and post it if anyone is interested.
