My front drivers seat , switch for the rear side of the lower seat ( up / down) is operating the seat in the opposite direction that i move the switch. It is working the portion of the seat in the full range but in the wrong direction. The passenger seat is working the way it should. Any suggestions, as I Have not encountered this before !

 

maybe the switch was installed upside down or they swapped the motor wires.

 

I have had the vehicle since new, so it would have had to been done at the factory, so i do not think so,

 

did you ever have the seat heaters serviced for any reason in the past maybe the tech was in a hurry? i do not think the controller logic can just switch like that. but you can always remove the battery power to the truck to reset your systems

 

No on seat heaters, I will try and set the memory of the seat to its highest position, then manually lower the seat then hit the memory return button and see if the seat moves in the right direction. Then try your suggestion to disconnect the battery, its possible, let you know

if you have an H2 there is a seat module GM update flash to correct switch reversal. it can be flashed with a tech 2. so i guess "the controller logic can just switch like that"
