17 months ago Dude, 17 months ago somebody else posted this history.

Thanks for letting me know about this rule. At my other forums people usually get upset if you start a new thread that has already been discussed. That is why I tacked my question onto that thread. Sorry to break the rules. Won't happen again.

i had the same issue with the external Sirius satellite. The other issue is getting the sound to the radio. I went to Best Buy and bought a kit that included labor that gave me both an external input to plug directly into the satellite receiver as well as an Iphone cord that both charges and allows me to play the ipod through the radio and frees up an outlet. Now I can choose either source and play directly through the Monsoon system. I typically leave the power on to the satellite and hit pause when I leave so when I return I can listen to programming and FF through commercials. I also thought that in addition to only having full on power to the two outlets that more outlets were needed to power additional cell phone chargers, radar detectors, etc. So while they were wiring that up I gave them a three outlet power strip that they wired up for me from an ignition source.

Legit issue, I left mine at the airport when I got sent to Hurricane Ike for a month. When I got back the battery was dead. I had left the gps plugged in. The battery wouldn't take a charge and had to get a new one. I may do this too...
