Powder Coating the Rims
Has anyone every done this? If so how has it held up? I am thinking of doing it just like the hummer guy's H3 project truck

Also anyone in or around the San Diego area want to trade crome mirrors and door handles for the black ones.....need to "de-crome" my black Alpha :-)

I know a few people that have used Dupli-color on their wheels with no issues. Plus, once they scratch you can just touch-up or repaint. I had to use Dupli on a center cap since my Tactical didn't come with a cap on the spare and I wasn't about to spend $200 on a center cap.
It depends on location... around these parts its about $70 a wheel...
Just hit the yellow pages and look up powder coating in your area... make a couple of phone calls and check out websites... viola! your doneski!

Im assuming you were only gonna have them PC your stock wheels? Why not pick up a spare set to run in the mean time? 2 week turn around is pretty standard... If you plan on wheelin it Id recommend two coats...
