Exclamation Possibe switch to H3! Some advice

Hello Hummer Community,

I'm new to the Hummer scene as you could probably tell. Anyway I have been a religious Lexus owner for the better part of my young life. I found a 06 Hummer H3 in black w/ gray interior with 37k on the clock. I really like the car after I test drove it. Everything on the vehicle looks good. Interior and exterior both look good. Carfax also checked OK.

Now the real questions I have for my beloved Hummer h3 pioneers are simple.

Is there anything I should be looking for on this particular hummer h3?
Are there certain things known to go bad on hummers I should be aware of?
Trans seals? Leaking Diffs? etc.

I have also heard stuff about engine head issues for a certain run of 2006 models?!

If this was a Lexus I could name things in my sleep but since I do not know much about the Hummers I wanted to consult the pro's before buying this vehicle. I really like this car want to make the switch from Lexus (the silence while driving is killing me) to Hummer(sounds like fun!!!). Any input at all would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Henry

(p.s. - I hope I posted in the right section)

then something about a leak in piston #2. i brought that back in and they fixed it.

I've heard of a few head issues, but not stellar amounts.
The 06 H3s have a little less torque and HP than the 07s -09s.

I bought a used 08 because I wanted a warranty.

If the price is right for your 06 and you like the ride, give it a try.

You might want to check the difference in cost of an '07 compared to the '06. GM upgraded the I5 engine from 3.5L to 3.7L in '07 which made a noticable difference in performance.

From a Lexus to a Hummer... you need to watch some Hummer commericals see if you can cross over to the other side of Humm-ness...

I always owned a Jeep and now the H3....

(the silence while driving is killing me) wait until you upgrade to a flow master...woo hoo

I would go with a H3 any year with warranty !
