Default Plasti dip project is done! I did the wheels today.

Finally got a combo of some free time with some good weather and I was able to get my wheels plasti dipped. I did the center caps too, but don't have them on yet, because I'm letting everything cure before I put them on.

Here are the photos!

Looks great. The solid 7-spokes look great black. I assume you are happy with them.

Yeah, it looks so much better now. I really like the black/red combo.

That looks good enough that I'd have it permanent and powdercoat them satin black.

VERY Nice looking rig. Blacking out the emblems is on my to-do list for my orange 3.

I used a little less than 5 cans. You want to put a good 5 or 6 coats, so it's easy to peel off when you want to. They have some good tutorials at dipyourcar.com.

I too have agree, the black rims and the red body are a nice combination
Did you also clear coat or seal the black plastic coating, like Dan recommended ??

No, I didn't use any clear coat or any type of sealant. This is a temporary thing until I get a set of tactical wheels or H3T steelies. I know this will not make it through a off-road trip and I would not want to have to respray every time I go wheeling. lol
