damn near needed my retina reattached again after looking at that without my sunglasses. not my thing, but damn, that's really gonna stand out, and if that's the look you were going for, you did really well.

Thanks you guys.

To be honest, i'm not really sure what i was shooting for. I had a few criteria in mind, like no big street wheels that would break if i decided to drive over something bumpy, or make alot of bumps and noise if i decided to drive over anything. And i wanted it to look good & be recognizable if somebody i knew saw it around.

Anyway, sometimes i think i took away too much hummerness. I mean, these things aren't supposed to look like they make sense or anything, and i wonder if i could/should have left a bit of the front not-white. That metal piece under the bumper in the front.

But sometimes i think it looks awesome, and mostly i just really like that big truck.

It took 4 weeks (literally) to get what was done above done, mostly painting time. The dealer did the work, and quoted 10 days ... and waiting 26 got fairly frustrating, and i griped a bit. But in the end, i think i can apperciate that its a PITA to paint that textured plastic smooth. And they did really nice work. But you can't take back your complaints.

And they lent me a new Caddy DTS for a while, which was one marvelous car. I think Caddy is all of the way back and I think that DTS can lay a fairly good claim to ultimate highway car, at least within 2x its price. It certainly (and badly) trumps any import within a stones throw of its cost in its intended role - which is big, quiet, cool, comfy cruising car. It might be a little too quiet, as i had a strong tendency to want to just nap in all the cooled-seat plushness while tooling around.
