Default performance upgrades

As I wrote in a previous thread I just got my 07 h3 stuck three times in last snow storm, wouldnt mind lifting truck little bit. Can anyone out there give me an example of what they have done to their truck as far as lift kits/tires. dont want to do any major fabricating just bolt on stuff, I figure if I can raise the truck put a little more aggressive tire on it and boost the horsepower ( because as we all know the h3 is woefully underpowered) I figure I may not have problem getting stuck again.

I just turned up the torcian bars and kept the stock tires, because of transmission shifting points and bigger tires supposdly void the warranty on some parts covered. I haven't found a complete 100% full proof kit that bolts on the engine to give it more power. I have the I5 engine

I raised the front end and leveled mine, put on 315's and getting ready to do the PCMtune.

I talked to my dealership and they said I could add bigger tires, air intake and an exhaust and still be covered under warranty, but the moment I do anything to my PCM, my warranty goes away.

I've got the Tuff Country 4" lift and i personally love it. I run SS Irok Radials (35.0x14.5R22LT), I don't have any engine improvements. However, when i get my check from the goverment for taxes I plan on getting a Volo chip, Airaid CAI, and possibly a BB cat-back dual exit system. In a very short summary, my tuff country kit was a breeze to put on, bolt on and cutting a little on the stock skid plate (maybe an inch or two, been a while) with a grinder and thats it! My issues came from wheel company sending me the wrong spacing with my rims. I countered with a 1" wheel spacer in the front and left back alone. <---this shouldn't be an issue with you if you leave stock rims or if you get the proper rim size! Hope i helped...

P.S.

When you all list 315's... what is that exactly? I think its the tire size but what measurement is it exactly? also is there a shorter way of listing my tire size?

That is true. The metric measurement is just under 1/2 shy of a true 35 inch tire. I am running them and love them.

I did the same thing on mine when I put on the 315's with spacers on the front and nothing on the rear. but I could see the difference when standing back behind the rear of it. I didn't like it ( some of it prob in my head ) so I put spacers on the rear too. and feel better anyway...

Mine is a 06 and warranty has been gone. PCM tune coming up for me soon...
