As was mine. That's the difference between 3.73 and 4.56 gears.

And you're running 37's and I'm on 35's. I might consider 4.10's some day to just get the RPM's up a little while towing. But I need more time behind the wheel of the thing.

If I were you I would go 4.10. The 03-07s has 35's and 4.10s. Seems like with the 08-09s GM was trying to make the hummer seem more fuel efficient with the 3.73.

My parents have a denali with 3.73 gears and the stock tires are like 31s or something around that. 3.73 in a big hummer is just silly.

May I ask was it expensive to regear ? I have an 08-09 also.
Understand you're much happier, just wondering if there are any drawbacks though ?

I laid around $800 for both gear sets and the install kits. The installer did front and back for $500. He ended up pulling the front apart 3 times. The guy is a perfectionist. I've got about a thousand miles on them now and no issues whatsoever.

There are some drawbacks.

While my fuel economy has improved pretty much overall I think this is due to the fact that where most of my driving is done there are lots of ups and downs. As I've said before going down these roads with the 3.73 I was constantly shifting. 4,5,6,54... And now I stay in 6th with the very occasional 5th. So what Im getting at is that I believe on mostly flat surface the fuel economy will diminish.

Before the regear my Gibson exhaust was fine. But now in 6th gear it is just a bit too loud for me. Not annoying, just a little too loud. I'm actually swapping the muffler on Wednesday.

And finally, the biggest drawback...I love the way it drives so much I can't stay out of the damn thing!

Performance wise everything is improved. I assume top speed is reduced but it will still run faster than the speedo marks so who knows.

I'm pretty sure my 08 has 3.73 but 4.10's for towing could be good. I need to disconnect the driveshaft and figure it out.

When you regeared did you have to reprogram the computer or anything like that. I've regeared older cars but they were not nearly as computer controlled. So I'm just wondering if the H2 gets all screwy with the new gears.

If I had stock size tires I would definitely go with the 4.10. You will need programmer of some sort to adjust your speedometer. I already had one so just had my tuner make the adjustments. It's possible you may want to change shift points as well.

If you get a programmer I recommend going through blackbear performance. Justin does amazing engine and tranny tuning.

I am coming over to the states in a months time and one of the things I was thinking of bringing back was a blackbear tune/scanner. Was it difficult to set up? I mean did you do it remotely ? Or take the rig into their premises and leave it to them ? I'm also thinking of getting headers whilst am there.
