Hey Michigan folks, what do I need to visit the trails this summer at Silver Lake? I will visit sometime in Summer and I know there are all kinds of extra fees and permits you need for out of state visitors.....someone please update me.

I seen that but it discusses Dune Ready Vouchers and Parking Lot Vouchers & I also read about a some type of ORV permit needed for Michigan.....what is all of this about?

 

I snowmobile in Michigan in the winter. The state requires the sled to be regitered (have license from the home state), have proof of insurance, and, if from out of state, have a trail permit (which you can get locally).

I would imagine they would want your ATV or ORV to have a home state registration sticker and proof of ins. as well. I know Minnesota and Wisconsin require them.

The trail permit can probably be obtained when you get there.
