I see alot of people doing this mod and would like to do it myself, the only problem is how long does it take to ship out the part and get it back?

Do the core program, no downtime. They send you a tuned PCM, you send your old stuff back, and get a refund. It's like $600 up front put comes out to like $150-175 after the refund.

I would need some real hard numbers on this. There has to be a way to get 20+ mpg on the highway with the I5

Totally! If I could get there with the 4 main mods I mentioned, it might just be worth going and charging it on the card before the holiday season (and requisite 2k driving).

I plan on doing all 4, and will probably do the two things that are easy for me to do: regular driving, full tank about 100 miles, refill and check MPG; and floor it and time 0-60 mph on the back highway we have here. Seems simple enough; anything wrong with that as a baseline measurement? Does it have merit?

I did mine right after purchase with a K&N intake and magna flow exhaust and it made a huge difference. I get just over 20 with way better performance. Go with the swap and tell him everything you plan on running so they can do a good map.

Can they do reflashes after you get the PCM? that way you don't have to keep sending it back if you get more mods?

What?

In order for them to program (or flash) they have to have your PCM connected to their computer. To re-program..... they would have to have it again connected to their computer.... etc.

I'm thinking maybe he means the same way you would do a firmware update by plugging into your computer for a gps, mp3, etc. That would be kinda neat if you could pay PCMforless by credit card, tell them you want a re-flash for larger tires (or whatever), plug into your computer and download a new program.
