I did not know if you saw this on the other site.
Heres a pic from me as the Tasca Day: Mustang Showdown from September 06'. Some one on the Mustang Forums was searching the nedw.com website and found it and posted it so I figured I would post it over here as well. Now I need to go to the track this year to fully lift the wheels off the ground

the suspension is done...just working/waiting on motor stuff right now. my hopeful completion date was august...the car is at my dad's shop right now, and im going to work on it later this month...hoping to get the engine put together and getting the transmission sent to the shop. right now, we are waiting on brake lines and a master cylinder.
however, i bought another mini-project car...which i need to do a few little things to make it streetable for now, to get out of the way of the demon.

do you have any updated pics?
also whats your expectations from this project? shooting for a street/strip car or something all out drag? i'm going to be hoping for mid to low 11's for this year with the juice and mid 12's all motor. in the summer i will do longtubes and such to add afew more ponies. im going the 20th to get a custon dyno tune and dumps put onas well asthose stage 2 vt cams i mentioned. after that its gonna be a toss up of what to do next. most likely a rear end

yeah...didnt the new egde GTs have weak axles and rearends, especially when big power is put to them?
for now, I want to see how little i can spend and get the car on the road, looking good, and running in the 13s or so. this car weighs almost a thousand pounds less than my white car, so if i were to swap drivetrains, i could have a low 11 second car...however, i want the demon to be very very street friendly. it is only getting a mild stall (2800) and mild gears (3.91), and for now its a fairly mild340 build. stock bore and stroke, port and polish stock heads, intake, headers, mild cam (509/284). if it doesnt run in the 13s, it wont be like that very long, but i got the car VERY cheap, and so many people think that you have to spend huge money to have a nice, well built, muscle era car. i will be using it for a daily driver in the summer...and it will be stored all winter. in short, i want a cruiser that gets at least 10 mpg and runs in the 13s. no new pictures, as nothing that has been done will show up in pictures. it has the front and rear swaybars in, front disc brakes (waiting on the new lines and master cylinder), kyb adjustable shocks. the engine parts have been sent out to be prepped, and im waiting on the trans rebuild kit, and gas tank. the rear diff is done...the interior needs put back together, as does the grille.
odd story though..when i bought the demon, it came with a blown motor. there is a golf ball sized hole in the number 8 cylinder, but it looks as though the moron let water get in and freeze, and thats what burst the block. the reason that we dont think that it "blew up", is that the engine never appears to have been run. there is no sign of scuffing on the rod or crank bearings, and the cam also has no sign of wear, at all. the pistons are 13:1 forgedTRWs, and it has a stroker kit, which displaces 372 cubic inches. so, once the demon and laser are done, the white car will be getting stroked and/or high compression pistons...although i dont know how much i want the huge compression. right now im in the mid to low 12s on 87 octane, and with those pistons, i would have to run straight race fuel.

so when are you starting a mustang project car?
i think you would have fun with a carb'd foxbody. maybe an 86' with t-tops?
yeah the axles will be fairly weak to big power but its the same rear end they have been using since 79'. i think i can make it work with 31 spline hardened axles, detroit locker and maybe a stronger girdle or something. i want to make a CHEAP but STRONG rear end. though you figure with axles and such i will pay a grand anyways but will do the work myself to save labor and instead of buying a whole new rear i'll say upwards of $800-1000 which can be spent elsewhere. when ever you get time email me some pics at dilogtrmustangs@aol.com i'd love to check out your cars and see how they are coming along. any more info on them and let me know because i'm interested in seeing them come along. i'm hoping to go to the track at the beginning of May when I get back from NY and getting some videos.
