Newbie 2006 H3 owner here.
Quick question....
When I bought the vehicle, the guy told me the colour was "Slate Blue Metallic" but when I looked in the glove box for the paint code it came back as "Stealth Grey Metallic"
The colour IS more blue then grey?
I'm going to be looking for some colour match paint for a stone chip, can anyone tell me the difference between the two?? Are they the same?
Any help would be very much appreciated!

 

I would stick with what the paint code tells you to make sure you get a correct match.

 

Maybe he changed the glove box for whatever reason as i have sold a few of these lately,which would make the sticker incorrect...

 

2006 H3 colors

Black
Birch White
Yellow
Boulder Gray Metallic
Victory Red
Slate Blue Metallic
Shadow Green Matallic
Superior Blue Metallic

 

Any paint shop or the dealer can scan your VIN and give you the correct paint code
If the glove box was changed and you still don't know, the VIN is the only source

I have the same problem with my 2007 - Bolder Grey Metallic
It has been called other colors too

Paint code is U928L

When I google it, it comes back as "Stealth Gray Metallic"

WTF...

 

The WA and the U are unnecessary
The code is the same 928L
Don't get too hung up on the verbiage, I did, it is frustrating.

It not the point of the H3 being a different color then the glove box says, it's that paint code 928L "steath gray metallic" was never offered as a paint colour for the H3 AT ALL???
