Default Oval Plastic Plug?

OK, hope everyone can follow this.

If you open the back door of the H3 and look at the bottom of the door frame you can see two oval shaped plastic "plugs".

When I got home I was walking around the back of the Hummer and saw one on the ground in the driveway right under the rear end of the H3. I opened the back door and those two are still there and I looked around but can't find anywhere it might fit. Any ideas?

I am the only one that parks there.

That's funny...I found one in my driveway this morning too! But mine DID come from my rear door. No idea how it came out. Mine was a soft rubber material. If yours is plastic maybe it came from a different vehicle. Check to see if it matches the material of the ones in the back door.

Now this is REALLY funny! Ken06h3 put up a thread about a different plastic plug...Well, about two weeks into owning my H3 this plastic plug falls to the ground and as hard as I tried I coudn't find where it came from...finally gave up and threw it away thinking it was from a different car. Now I know where it came from! What a wealth of knowledge, here on HF. Goes to show, even the smallest things, Hummer owners have in common!

Nice work Ken. Old Ghostrider did a fine job finding that hole...and snapping pics.

Thanks for the post rhill. I'm sure mine will hit the deck sooner or later, so now I know.

Alright, just went out and put the plug back in. It was right where the other thread said it goes. It's stupid, going to have silicone it. Doesn't feel like it is going to stay there without it, can't tellWHY it's even there

Great. Now I have to check under the H3 every time we close a door.

Yea, the best thing to do is to silicone them back in. They're just body plugs from the factory and really don't do anything.
