Nice.. I have 06 and been thinking about painting mine exact same color as yours. Chevy also put that color on 08 Tahoe that year. Which is truck I traded in. Love h2 miss that color. Nice!

Thanks ... all of the Ultra Marine Edition H2's I see advertised say the color is "Ultra Marine", but that is not the case. If you didn't already know, the color is called Bermuda Blue Metallic, Code WA214M and GM also put it on the Avalanche's as well as the Tahoe's as you mentioned. I love the multiple colors it shows in the sun ... it's almost like having three different colors ... one at night, one on a cloudy day and another on a sunny day. On a sunny day it looks blue, green or purple depending on the angle you look at it in the sunlight. I also had the black "well" portion of the chrome hood vent painted to match.

Brian,

Love the the new Deuce.

Also, really enjoyed your great pics! Definitely a gem!

How many miles were on the 08 when you purchased it?

I bought mine last april w/just 8K miles. (2nd '08 H2)

Thanks "dvl" ... how do you like your '08? I think they're a world apart from the earlier ones.

Mine had 40,488 miles.

Very nice finding one with 8k miles ... I bet it was pricey! There was an Ultra Marine on Ebay with 5k miles when I bought mine ... they were asking $59,900! Way, way more than I was willing to pay. I would have liked to have an '09 with the additional extras and the second row captains chairs, but I really wanted the Ultra Marine Edition and the '09's were quite a bit more expensive.

I don't know how the earlier H2's drove as I've only owned 2 08's (H2)

the most recent purchase...I stuck w/the 08 vs the 09 because i really like the 2nd row bench vs. the captain chairs....have 3 boys.

the other diff. is 09's had the bluetooth + flexfuel capability.

anyways, i plan on keeping it for a while...it's like driving a car for free....they aren't depreciating like all the other cars.

just love driving it.

The older ones drove nothing like the "new" ones ... handling, ride quality and power is all much improved.

The captains chairs was an option in '09 and most of the '09's I see have the second row bench seat. Also, don't forget the electric tilt and heated steering wheel as '09 differences.

From what I have seen, you are right .... they don't seem to depreciate like other vehicles. I drove my '05 SUT for 12 months, put 10,000 miles on it and got $1,000 less than I paid for.

the electric tilt was very limited to the special editions...and even the special editions all didn't have that option.

cool option ...but really not necessary.

After some Googling, I noticed you are right and that there are several '09's that didn't get the heated steering wheel either including several special editions.
