OT: Hey ImportKiller ...
My wife and I regretted buying the H3 because right after we bought it, the 4-door Wrangler came out. I don't regret it anymore, but we always said if we ever decided to give up Hummers and buy another truck, we'd go with the 4-door Jeep. I like yours because everything is one color. It looks like a ruggid off-road vehicle.
How does it handle off-road compared to the H3?

here ya go...I just posted two days ago in antother thread....I'll repost it here for ya:
yes I have both....this will annoy quite a few but....the h3 cannot hold the rubi's jock off road, just not going to happen. Road driving in the JK is 500% better than the prevous year models...much quieter inside the cab and actually have power windows and doors now!! I still give the on road ride to the hummer as it is a more comfy ride. The JK has more power and the 6 speed manual is NICE!! The new hard top on the J is pretty cool...you can drive with the t-tops off and it takes one person 5 minutes to do...not like removing a hard top on older model wranglers. All things considered I love both trucks...I really do...but if owning a hummer wasn't so cool I would rather have the Jeep.

which is why I thought you were just trying to egg me into another jk vs h3 battle

You know one thing that I am dissapointed in when it comes to the h3....remember when we first got our hummers and when we first came to HF Mike? All the talk back then was what the aftermarket companies where making for the h3 and how they were gonna compete with the jeep aftermarket...them SMA went belly up and it seemed all the good stuff just stopped. Mostly the same crap out now for the h3 was the stuff that was out 3 years ago....and what is available is outragously priced..like all hummer owners are rich
Sure the Jeep stuff ain't cheap either but I got a front bumper, WITH new warn powerplant winch for the price of just a front bumper for the h3...it's stupid really.

hey impy, it seems like you're basing your opinionona comparison b/w amodified rubiand a base h3. in your opinion, do you think theperformance gap is lessened b/w an 'out-of-the-box' 4-door rubi and an adventure h3?
believe it or not, im actually not trying to flame. just want to see what you think.
thx!

I have said from day one that rubi against adventure would be closer in comparison. Just like an adventure would run circles around a non rubi Wrangler. This is nothing new...just because I own two jeeps doesn't make me a jeep homer...I've always been objective. That bieng said.... until the h3 gets a SFA, two REAL lockers, sway bar discos and an aftermarket that you could spend days looking at all the stuff made for it...it will always trail the rubi. and the rubi is modified now, but I bought it brand new bone stock...so I know how it was before the lift, tires, and other goodies.
fair enough. i appreciate the insight. as i said before,i actuallywasnt trying to flame this time
. to me, the jeep-hummer thing is a stupid pissing contest. as long as you have fun, who cares? i was just curious to know if there's that much more i'm missing by not having a jeep. for the kind of off-roading i do, i think what i have is more than plenty. tho, it'd be nice to have an old jeep to rag out in the brush
.
muddy, the bleeding stops here...
