i was just going to let mine expire but if they offer a deal i will keep it...i like the 11 ish a month and 2 months free deal....but if i dont get offered it ill drop it like a rock. i do love the phone function though. perhaps we should all band togther with "our" deals to use as a bargining chip when we get near our expiration dates for onstar...a friend got it for X amount etc.

What functions do I like best?
It's more of an insurance policy than anything but I like these features;
[ol][*]Automatic Airbag Deployment Response[*]OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics[*]Stolen Vehicle Location Assistance, kinda like a cheap LoJack[*]Remote Door Unlock[/ol]
These are my top 4 out of the 12 services they offer. Hopefully I'll never use 3 of them and the monthly vehicle diagnostic is a nice to have for maintenance records. If you travel a lot out of town and have ever had to dial 911 then you'll know why the built in GPS function is so good. I had to call 911 on I-75 once and when the dispatcher asked exactly where I was I went, "uhhhh..." I felt so dumb because I'm used to knowing where I am and what I'm doing in a crisis. Totally helpless at that moment and now with OnStar it won't happen again.

YES THEY WILL DEAL ! My wife called them up and acted like she was going to cancel and they knocked it down to "the promotional rate" of only $12 per month.

I almost forgot, they were also willing to add 100 minutes of phone service for free.

For the $147.00 Deal? What do you get with that package? Onstar offers different packages for different service,but the level of monthlyrates increase with more features.

blackbear,
I pay $28.90 monthly for the full package that includes the turn by turn navaigation and a few other features. For the $14.97 package I doubt very much that it has all the features. I just looked up the rates and for $18.95 you get the safe and sound package. This package does not have the turn by turn feature.So....your $24.95 still is a bargain!!!!!!!!
