Onstar Removal 2004 H2?

this is really a great idea.

i might try to install a siren device/console and lights(blinker) controller on the On Star console area.

great job!!!

No it was in the stock location on the dash. it was moved up there and a factory 6 disc changer was insalled where the onstar was. the dealership did all the mods for it.

Search...there are instructions on here.

I removed the OnStar system after and fitted a single Din Alpine Ipod Tray. Looks trick and factory. Il post some pics tomorow.

PICS?!?!? Did you need to use a filler plate? Did you use a special instyall kit? I am thinking I will need to make brackets to hold the monitor to the dash.

I purchased a 7" tv monitor and will be removing the Onstar and placing the monitor in place of it. I am wiring in a rear view camera that will be hooked up to the rear of my camper. This way when I tow, I can see who is behind me as I am going down the road....

OK, Got my scanner and install parts today should be installing this weekend.

OK, Scanner is installed the entire onstar box had to be removed "I Did not Plan to use anyway and did not want to have any cutting done to put it below the scanner" Removing it did not flip any codes and I have not noticed any other stuff not working. So answers my question that it can be removed.
