I searched the board, found the umpteen page thread on the door/window locks and the attempts to fix.
I tried it all, and I do have a crappy/ loose connection on battery though battery is good (had it tested).
I also noticed that the display does not show up when key is set to lock position. Is this related to the whole issue or something else? So my attempt to do the reboot is unable to be done.
It's zero degrees here in NJ and window is stuck half open. I would like to order the master lock, any links?

We opened the master switch, one of the previous owners already had an aftermarket master switch in there. Obviously this is an issue with the vehicle I own. We took it out, warmed it up, and even changed out the contacts. We put on a new battery connection, so its nice and tight. The battery has been disconnected a dozen times. STILL NO OPERATION.
We have ordered another master switch anyway. Not sure what else to do.
Window is still stuck in half way position and it's 12 degrees today.
Any other suggestions??

 

its been awhile since i was'in there' but you could find the motor wires and jump them directly to close the window till the real fix is found.
it goes up/down with polarity change.

 

Thanks for the help guys. I found the diagram on the door panel removal and we'll give it a shot today to jump the motor so at least it's closed.
The vehicle didn't come with an owners manual, gurr. Found everything online.

 

Change the battery terminal connectors. When the BCM reads a poor connection (low voltage) one of the things that go haywire are the driver window and door locks.

 

Thanks, we did that, put on Marine terminals. No change in door.

 

Finally fixed, New not used master switch.
