Default Old Army H1 Mech buys his first H2.

Just bought an 2003 H2 for $4800. Fantastic rig, black on black. Brush guard and large tires (which I had to replace immediately, woof. Got some Cooper ST rock tires on there now).

The only problems it has are:

Dash doesn't work (lights, indicators do, no data), so I don't think it's the dash itself, but rather the sending unit that controls it.

Front half-shafts are taken out because front diff won't engage. (I'm almost certain I know what this is. Servo in the diff is probably bad. GMC has a notorious servo like this, but it was on the outside of the diff, exposed to weather. AM General put it inside to protect it. Luckily, I have a car lift and transmission jack to remove. Shouldn't be too bad of a job.

Drives seat is torn, but that's an easy order and replacement.

Does have a bit of play in the steering, now that the new tires are on there, but I'll likely replace all those joints and bushing when I repair the front pot.

All in all, I think I got a pretty good deal on it and look forward to taking it into the mountains to look for big foot.

Also, the truck came with zero documentation so I have no idea what half the stuff in the cabin does.

Like those 3 little switches on dash. One blue, one red, one yellow.

What are those for?

Sounds like a great price for a truck that needs a little TLC. Been a long time since I sold my 03 but I don't remember the switches you describe.

Post up some pix of the switches. Maybe someone here can assist.
