I'm wiring a Sirius radio in my 2006 H3.

I know that the Orange on the back of the factory radio harness is battery (always on I believe) and the black/white is ground ...

Which wire is it that stays "hot" when you turn the key off, and then turns itself off when you open the door ? (Thats the obvious one to hook the sat. radio up to)

I don't have the wire codes, but couldn't you use a circut tester?

 

yes, but I'm in the process of moving and ALL my tools are in storage .. just thought if I could get a quick answer here, would save me from buying tester #3

I dont mind moving (5 times now in 5 years) ... What I really miss this time is no garage while in between houses and my tools (ALL 3 chests of them) are all stored.

I've got a multi-screwdriver and a 5.99 socket set to deal with

Would a door wiring diagram work??? The windows still work after the key is off til the door is opened? If you have MS word, I can point you to that.
