Oil pressure gauge?
Hello All,
I need some help with my 04 H2. Tried search but no follow ups on threads from posters. So here is my issue.
The Oil pressure gauge is stuck on zero. The oil level is good and drives ok. No other service lights on and the oil is reading at 94% good. Has anyone else incountered this and if so what was the cause and fix?
Thank you

1. - Oil sending unit is ka-put...
2. - You've lost a ground somewhere so the gauge isn't getting power...
If under warranty should be a simple fix by stealership.
Perhaps someone with more HUMMER mechanical knowledge will happen along and give more info...
Cheers,

I had a 2005 yukon xl with the same gause issue, turns out that gm knows about it and it is very common for these, if of course, it is the same. I had to fight gm to fix it because at that time they were only recalling 01-04 05 & up were under investigation! Good luck!
If the needle is stuck at 80, it is most likely the oil pressure sensor. It is really hard to get to and I wish they put it somewhere in the front, like they did with my Jeeps. You can't even see it on the H2...maybe somebody has a good write up with some pics for a diy change. I think you need a deep socket wrench to get to the sensor. If anybody changed it, post some comments. It seems to be a pretty common issue. I would change mine too, but I have no idea how to reach it. There must be some special trick to make it easier than just feeling for it and hoping the threads will seat properly when screwing it in.
