I have an H2 and I wanted to change the oil myself, can anyone tell me how to do and if its even worth doing myself? Thanks...

 

I did my first oil change myself and I think it was worth the effort to see what is involved. I found my front differential was leaking. Having said that, I don't plan on doing any other changes myself. My biggest problem is I am not positive I know where all the grease zerks are at.

My Hummer dealer said they will change it with Mobil 1 for $65. Sounds fair to me.

 

Yea it is worth it to me! You will have to pull the skid plate off.
Everything else is really easy....the oil filter is right there....plug is there. You will be good to go!

I am just shocked how small the oil filter is on that motor!

The Mobil One oil cost me 24 dollars. The Wix oil filter cost me 5 dollars. Basically it cost me 30 dollars to change it.
