Oh Thank God
I sold my POS H3. I mean it is like an aircraft carrier has been lifted off of me.
Don't get me wrong, I am not calling all Hummers crap, but the one I had was pure garbage. It left me stranded more times on the side of the road in the six months I owned it than all my previous cars combined in my 15+ years of driving. I was excited to get it but am a thousand times more excited that I sold it.
I have a stock h/u if anyone needs it. I got private party sale on trade-in.

Thanks everyone, it's been fun, but I am now Hummerless and couldn't be happier!
If any of y'all off road I'll still see you on the trails in my old PW.

Eventually lol.
I was really looking forward to the H3 as a DD, but I couldn't trust it. And Hummer has really high customer satisfaction, i was surprised by the mess I ended up with.
I also still really like the look of the truck. Maybe find a high miled one and use it as beater.
I think the wife would kill me if I showed up with another one however in addition to the new to me Mustang GT that replaced the old one.

And Hummer/GM tried extremely hard to make me happy and fix the H3. It just had other plans and didn't want to be reliable. Naperville Cadillac went well out of their way to make things good, in the end they couldn't (due to my particular ride) and I was sick of riding in tow trucks. lol
Good luck with the Mustang.... I think a lot of H3 guys have had some luck due to dealers and a generous warranty...
I know you are not the first, and I fell you will not be the last one with the feelings you have.
Find an H2 to go wheel... I think 15 years from now H2 owners will be happier than H3 owners.

Seriously though, you are probably correct, H1 owners even more so. There are reasonable alternatives to an H3/H3t, but not so much for the H2 and basically nothing that compares to an H1.
There is a reason 30 year old jeeps are still on the road and on the trails... they get the support they need, and even though they have all had their problems... there is an endless supply of aftermarket companies waiting in line to make them better...
