Default off road lights on H3

Are the (2nr) off road lights that come as an option from Hummer dealers worth fitting. I was in the desert last night with my new H3T and I didnt find the normal lights that good. Is the off road light option effective or purely cosmetic.

Very interested to hear from people that have/had them and hear their verdict. Thinking of getting them fitted with the next service.

Whether or not you add the OEM off road lights, I recommend replacing the standard OEM bulbs. I have the Sylvania Ultra bulbs in both my headlights and fog lights and they make a big difference ... all for under $40. Keep the originals in the glovebox as emergency spares.

I managed to speak to a guy today who had the lights fitted. He wasnt impressed with them, saying that all they seemed to light up was the engine hood and not the road ahead. He did admit however that he didnt know if they were adjustable or not to cast the beam more ahead than down.

Anyone know if they are adjustable or not

The ones mounted above the windshield are adjustable. I have the dealer installed roof mounted off road lights. I think they are bright and like them.

I agree with GroundAndPound. Start by changing out the OEM headlight and fog light bulbs with Sylvania Silver Star Ultra's and you will notice a world of difference.
