Arrow Odometer reset itself?!

Hey all,

I have something strange which just happened about 4 days ago. My odometer was just about to roll over to 100,000, and now it's reset itself to 79,000 at that time (currently 79,443). Has this happened to anyone else? Battery hasn't been disconnected or anything. Last repair was the wheel bearing.

With all the electronics and computers on cars these days electrical gremlins are more common than ever but no I have never heard of an odometer restting itself.

Well I look at it this way. It just added an extra 20k to my warranty which was going to expire at 125k, and I'll probably get exempt stickers again come inspection time. It did this right around the time that the Change Oil popped up on the DIC display...and right when it was going to roll over to 100k.

If there are service records on the truck they will be able to tell something happened with the mileage number.

I agree. I'm wondering if the computer is about to go bad. Not sure what to tell them if that issue arises...I didn't do anything to cause it though.

That's what I initially thought, but the mileage on the odometer has been incrementing everytime I drive....

I think he means the trip odometer for a trip that was started 79,xxx miles ago. It would still be increasing. Does it go away if you hold the button next to it?
