Hey guys,

I bought an H3 a few months ago and usually do between 70-75 down the freeway. Seems like it runs right around 2.5k RPM's.

Does this seem about right to you guys?

It's an Automatic BTW

 

2500=75 on mine.
speedo says 60 when gps says 58,,,???

tires = stock 285 at 38 lb

Thats normal...my speedo and gps are off from each other 2mph also...

Mine's off by 4MPH. Factory size tires. lol Truck says 75. GPS says 71.

 

I was curious to see for myself so i took notice on the morning commute....@72mph it was running at about 2200rpm....@75mph i was at 2400rpm...and i was doing about 77 when i hit 2500rpm. So i agree as well that it is normal. my question is...would there be a difference in cruising rpms between an adventure and base model because of the gearing?

 

gears are the same. you need a good level streach of road,ez on the gas. torq conv will be locked at that speed,almost zero slip.

 

285/75/16..... ScanGauge II RPM @ 70 mph is 2450... which equals POOR GAS MILEAGE!! but I wouldn't have it any other way!! Hope that helps.
