Like the title says gents, I have a clicking grinding noise at the left front while accelerating forward and reverse in a straight line. Does not go away when holding brake and hitting the gas.Does NOT make a sound while turning. I thought cv axles only clicked when turning? Can it be a bearing??? need insight Thanks for any help.

 

well it wasn't the left front wheel after all... The drive shaft is shot where it comes out of the transfer case, just needed to jack it up and move the wheel and you could here it jumping around. Yay me!
