Default Noise at bottom of engine when cold?

Firstly its great to be back as I have not posted for a while and forgot how use full this site is,

The last few weeks I have noticed a vibrating rather load noise coming from the bottom of my engine? I think as I cant seem to locate it, it only happens when cold and when ideling, as soon as I rev it to 1000 rpm the noise goes away but once back to idle it returns? Also once the engine is warm it goes away completely?

Anyone heard of these symotoms before?

All advise would be greatly appreciated.

If it is fairly loud metal on metal check your skid plates.

u can drive a few days with the plates off.if that changes anything, well?
if no change you have better access to look for other stuff w/o the plates.
bump, bang, wiggle anything u can touch. i found some loose/springy stuff on mine up front.
