when the engine is cold, i am hearing a noise that sounds like there is something loose... once the engine reaches temperature, this noise is gone. it can not be heard when you are inside the car but definitly standing outside or having a window open.

anyone having the same experience? is this normal?

 

Had our H3 Alpha about 3 months and no issues so far.

 

i just found the thread about the belt squeak on the alpha. i guess that's exactly the issue that i have. will revert to the dealer.

 

Have had my Alpha for 5 mnths. and now 6500 miles no issues!! Yet!!!

 

700 miles and no engine issues thus far, then again haven't had to cold start in the below 0 Minnesota temps yet

 

i don't have any other problems yet. i love the truck.

but it is annoying with the noise (having shelled out top $$).
will see what the dealer has to tell

 

go to the dealer there is a TSB on this problem
power steering pulley is out of alignment and causing the belt to squeak

its probably the belt squeak issue. thats pretty much the only thing we have had issues with on the alpha.
