No cost,rainproof hood vent
I've read a lot recently about hood vents and the cost, installation, and possible water hazards.
I remembered how kids used to jack up the back of their hood to let air escape. When i checked my h3 for the bolts I saw 4 bolts, easy to remove and add spacers,1/2 inch or more. It might take longer bolts.
Then i looked at the rubber seal and see that it is easily removed.
So the no cost,no work approach is the rubber seal, the bolts could be extended for more vent space. Both can be done at no cost and 100% restorable for winter,or if you change your mind,or see that its not needed.
Is anyone recording temps over the 195 thermo rating? If so you could pull the seal and check it out,no charge.
the 4 hinge bolts and the rear rubber hood seal are the items
