The National Hockey League regular season gets its start with Face-Off Rocks 2008! From where else, but HOCKEYTOWN!!!!! Detroit MI, tomorrow 10/9/08, 7:PM Eastern when the Detroit Red Wings defending Stanley Cup Champions take on another Original Six team, the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Joe Louis Arena......and, live from the Fox Theater in Detroit, Def Leppard is in concert and will be performing in simulcast between the Joe and the Fox, concert goers will get to watch the game at the State theater via closed circuit big screen broadcast. Alanis Morissette will also chime in live via satillite from Place des Arts in Montreal, where a three day hockey festival is taking place on Crescent Street. This is part of a doubleheader and will be followed by 10:PM games of Colorado v Boston, and Vancouver v Calgary!

If that is not enough, the NHL is also putting on season opening games for European fans in Stackholm and Prague!! Sound great, like the NHL is finally getting its chit
together....right?
