Newbie w/questions
HI THERE! I am new to this forum - but not new to owning a HUMMER! Just saying hi - I live in Redding, CT. I previously owned a yellow H3, traded it in for a new Subaru Outback, which prompltly got hit 3 times. This last time a month ago, I was hit by a cement truck, so I am now the proud owner of a used yellowH2, (not messin' around anymore) 2003 vintage, 57k miles! I will be taking delivery of it on Wednesday this week!!! I hope this BAD BOY will make people move out of my way when I come down the road. I am looking for aftermarket extended warranty plans - figured I'd ask what all of you suggest - a reputable company - one that won't rip me off and cost a fortune in the process!!! Thanks! Looking forward to meeting some of you!! Can't ride my Harley right now due to a concussion, but i can drive!! Stacy
Welcome Stacy! I personally haven't done much with aftermarket warranty companies, so I'm not the person to turn too... Though I'd be intrigued to see what you go with. Just wanted to say hello from about an hour away in CT!
Thanks dag-
Got the H2 from Easton, MA. at a Ford deealership - looks (hopefully) to be in good condition. I want coverage on it tho- as my transfer case went on my H3 at 68k. It was luckily covered by my extended warranty program at that time. I don't want to take any chances this time either - as I am the 3rd owner - and don't know the history of the vehicle. I plan to have it looked over carefully by my mechanic when I get it here. it's got those roof rack lights on it, want to sell them - do you know if there is a market for those by chance? It makes the vehicle ttoo tall to fit in my barn, and I have no need for them anyway. thanks! Stacy

GRAPH. CRAPPY. CRAP. Well that was short lived. Took the truck around town this morning only to already have it break down on me. Luckily, I was near the garage in Weston that did the Emissions.
The steering fluid reservoir was empty, and the steering fluid radiator is rotted and needs replacing. Since the Ford dealership where we bought the truck less than 12 hours ago who said they did a "full safety inspection" did such a STAND UP job, we decided to have a safety inspection of our own. Seems the front end, suspension, tie rods etc also all need to be replaced. Front right tire is worn, which we pointed out, they agreed to fix before delivery of the truck (and didn't). So, the truck waits, and I am back again in a rental car after two months of already BEING IN A RENTAL car, due to the cement truck hitting me.
I am not driving my NEW TRUCK I just bought. @#$%& pissed.
