Thanks for this forum. Due to a groin injury and surgeries i am in need of a vehicle that i can ride and drive and I've found the H2 to be what I need. I've found a few but nothing turned my head until this one. It's a 2005 with 79,000 miles. My issue is I am wanting the navigation system but this one has a after market radio installed and not well i might add. I have the VIN number and want to know if this H2 came with the navigation unit from factory? Or is this just a slapped in radio. I don't want to buy it and find out i need to buy a lot of extra stuff to have navigation. And can you also tell if this has factory back up camera?

Any help you folks can provide would be great. Thanks.

 

Dont worry about the factory nav. From what i understand. You cant listen to the radio while using the nav. It is also outdated being 10 yrs. old. I understand not having the factory stereo/nav in the dash. An aftermarket stereo usually turns me off from buying the vehicle.

 

Not sure an H2 is a great choice for someone recovering from a groin injury/surgery, climbing in and out and such. To your original question, it's easy enough to add an aftermarket stereo with nav. Assuming you have a smart phone I'd even suggest you get a stereo that you can mirror your phone to. That's what I did, or more accurately, had a shop do. No expensive update CDs, real time traffic updates, up to date maps and a choice of navigation apps. I had them install a backup camera at the same time, and the stereo has bluetooth so I also have hands free calling through the stereo. Just think of it as part of the purchase price.

 

I wouldn't worry about the nav . Even if it works you will want to replaced anyway . The system is to old . Same with the entertainment system (dvd and tv)
I think the camera came out after 2006 however yours seems to have an oem can installed on the bumper .
I wouldn't worry about camera either . Probably you will want to replaced as well

My 3 cents . Get a rig that you like. Check the engine, suspension, tranny , shocks ,hubs and fluid .. look on the forum for what to check

Save some $$ and get a reputable shop to install a new headunit with a Garmin Nav . Also the best time to run and install a back up camera .
Make sure to understand amd ask the accessories shop what is needed to keep the chimes, onstar and wheel control working with the aftermarket unit
Also make plans ahead to replace Amp and speakers
It is worth it
