I was at Wal Mart last week and another Hummer (06) pulled up beside me and fot out while I was loading up my stuff in the back and started talking. He was asking what kind of probs I had experienced or what I had done to level mine out, did I like my 35's, etc... I ended up looking his over pretty good, it was really clean and looked like it had rarely if ever been off road. I ask him how many miles he had on it and when he told me, I almost fell out. He said he bought it 4 months ago and had only put about 6,000 on it which brought it up to 142,000!!!! He said the guy he bought it off of worked at a dealership and took real good care of it. He said the guy drove like 40 miles one way to work so it was all highway miles. He said he had all the maint records and never saw more than normal wear and tear type things done. Breaks, tires, oil and filter changes, alternator, transmission fluid change, etc... I was pretty impressed. He wanted to put bigger tires on it, level it, add a winch and use it for hunting and go back and forth to work. I never ask him where he was from but I told him about this site and that he could learn a ton on here.

Thanks, Slumlord! I guess as long as you take care of it...it'll take care of you. I honestly don't plan on doing any off road...just love the look of these "BEASTS"...lol. My ENGINE light did just come on the other day, though. I'm taking it in tomorrow to be checked out. Hopefully nothing too serious. Could the fact that I just put bigger tires on, effect this???

About a week after I put the 35's on mine I had two lights come on. The antilock brakes and the auto traction both came on. I had to go by the dealer and get them reset. Never came on again... He said it had something to do with putting the bigger tires on???
