Default Newbie checkin in!!

Hi Guys! I'm new to the forum and hopefully a new hummer h3 owner by tomorrow!!! I went to look at a few used hummers today.. I'm looking at an 06 or an 07. I was just wondering if there is anything I should look for before purchasing? Also, is there any difference from the 06's to the 09's the body seems to look the same.. am I right or wrong? I'm waiting to see if my credit will roll my 4k of negative equity on to an 06 h3 with 27k on the clock clean carfax. Any help with helping me make the right purchase would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

2006s have a 220HP 3.5L. From 2007 on they have a 242HP 3.7L and a much better warranty.

The very early 06s (with motors built before 3/31/06) hada recall for cylinder head/valve issues.

Thanks for the help guys.. I was supposed to go finalize the deal for an 06 h3 later today and trade in my ford escape... but my sister just lost her car and asked if I would give her my escape and she would make the payments on it... I agreed and now tomorrow I will go and try to finalize a deal on an 09 h3!!! I'm super hyped! No negative equity and a brand new 09 h3!

Well slap me around and call me susan! I went to the hummer dealer looking to close the deal on an 09.... I was told over the phone that they would get me my monthly payments where I wanted them at $400 a month... That didn't happen! This is the second time I go there and they waste my time! After two hours all they could do was get me at $510 a month at a 7.5% rate after the salesman told me he would get me at $400 over the phone! I was sooo pissed I told off the sales manager and stormed out! Im sick of dealing with the stealership.... The sales manager said that there is no way he could get me at $400.. so I guess the 09 is out of the question and I will now have to focus my energy on buying an 07 or 08!

I really think you can find a nice 07/08 for a good price in the current SUV market. Take your time and get a good one. Keep us posted.
Best of luck.

I found an 07 with 33,600k on the clock going for $18,900. Milage seems a bit high for an 07... and its from a smaller private dealer. Is it okay to buy from a smaller private dealer if the carfax on the vehicle checks out or should I stick to larger franchised dealerships?
