Default New tires

Our Goodyear MTR's were worn out. They lasted 50,000 miles. I was very surprised they lasted that long with the driving we do in our H3. They were the old style MTR's, not the kevlar ones. We couldn't afford much with this new set due to loss of my job, but my tire guy gave me a great deal on a set of Maxxis Buckshots.

I like them so far. They are actually a lot quieter than the MTR's were. I don't think they will go 50,000 miles, but I think they will get us through until my job situation straightens out. I do like the looks of them, They seem to balloon out more than a lot of the newer tires out. Reminds me of a little old school, and I like the tread pattern, as we need an aggressive tread where we live. the winters are bad here and we have a lot of gravel and dirt roads, that turn to mud when it rains.

So far so good, and for $150 each, I couldn't pass them up. Haven't taken them off road yet, but plan to soon. We got the same size as before 285/75/16. I read the reviews on them after he offered them to me at that price, and the reviews were overall very good, and as far as his price, I haven't found them anywhere else near the price he gave us. We did get a better deal because we are friends but he blew away prices of other dealers for us.

Here's what they look like.

My dad used to run them on his tr4uck 20+ years ago, and they worked great in the mud

I talked to a guy who runs these on his rig this week. he says he loves them. I wouldn't have gotten them if it wasn't for the money issue, but I do like how they ride. It's actually very quiet compared to some mud tires I have had in the past. And a nice smooth ride. Can't wait to get them in the mud.

Mine came with the chrome one on it (got mine used) but I'm thinking on either getting a black one or going with the predator S&R.
