Thumbs up New tires !!!!

Hey Guys, Finally decided on new mud terrain tires last weekend and on Monday ordered 5 Mickey Thompson Baja Mtz's........took a vacation day from work today and just got home from having them installed. They changed the whole appearance of my H3, yes they do humm more on the open highway compared to my General AT2 all terrain tires I have had on it., but if you have ever run MT tires on vehicles in the past like I have, it is well worth it..........They look badass..!!!
It's the people who have never had Mud terrain tires on anything in their life that are usually annoyed by the noise or the ride.....
I drove home about 30 miles and was very pleased with the ride, a little bit of a humm going down the road, but the good kind of humm. I went up from a 285/75/16 to a 305/70/16......and I am glad I did, just that little bit extra width makes a big difference in the appearance/stance of the Hummer.......
thanks for your suggestions in my former tire question thread................

Congrats.

Actually, MTZs are not a true Mud Tire, rather they are a more agressive off road version of an AT. I have had my 305MTZs for 30K miles and they are one sweet tire.

Just as important, MADE in the USA!

If everybody spent $64.00 per year on USA mad products, we could create 200,000 jobs. That is what people should consider when in the market for anything.

Glad to help. You will love the MeaTZ! We have them on both our HUMMERS. THANKS FOR BUYING AMERICAN! I tired the DuraKracks and I just didn't like the sloppy on road feel compared to the MeaTZ.

Just rememeber to rotate them regularly and you will get some great miles out of them. I just took a set off with over 53K on them, sold them to another guy to use for his summer tires. I replaced them the other day with new MeaTZ!

MeaTZ are not excellent at one particular type of terrain but are great at every type of terrain. If you can get the April 2011 issue of FOURWHEELER they do a "mud-tire" compare with 10 different MTs. The MeaTZ came in 3rd out of 10.

Their BOTTOM LINE:
"The MTZ balances all the essential attributes you would want in a mud-terrain tire for a daily driver"
