Default New Rack Pics

Was looking for a rack for the 3 and came across thisone (Surco Urban). After throwing on some new tires, I needed to lower prifile rack so I could still get into the garage. Ordered the narrower one so that I couldfit it to the exsiting crossbars. So far so good.

It's nice. Smooth black powercoat over AL. No Steel around here. They all rust over time. They use way too mich salt on the road around here. Also makes the rack a bit lighter. I found it is preety stable too. Thre are five wide slats that make up the floor and each slat bots into the crossbars along with the frame of the rack, so its sturdy. It is also oneof the quitest racks I have had, especially with the sunroof open. At 4 in high, I can still fit into the garage. Assebly was a bit of a pain, only because it took so time to do. Other than that, I am pretty happy with it.

The can was empty and didn't want to smell up the interior. I know I can get rid of the kids for more room, but who would carry all the stuff I carry on the rack?

Looks sort of like a low profile Gobi somethin. Aluminum is a bonus. I like it.

I liked the slat floor better than Gobi's mesh too.

It's the Surco Urban 45x60. I wanted to use the Hummer crossbars so Iordered a size narrower. I liked the look of the OEM crossbars better and since I had them, thought I would make use of them. The rack slides into the crossbar channels. It very similar to the OEM rack, but black and hell of alot less expensive! I liked the SEA one, bit it was twice as much.
